Improvements to the InDesign Client are coming thick and fast and with the latest update there are 3 fantastic additions;
Attribute Formatting
You can now override or add any formatting you need to your attributes within the InDesign Client.
Within Preferences there is now a “Formatting Tab” 
Clicking this takes you to a list of the attributes within your system
You can double-click an attribute to edit the formatting. Only attributes of the type “string”, “number” and “boolean” are editable for obvious reasons.
Editing a string you are presented with a pop-up of 4 options; “none”, “uppercase”, “lowercase” and “word caps”.
Editing a boolean allows you to over-ride the standard “true” and “false” values to match values you want
Editing a number gives you the ability to format the number for things like currency or the formatting of a phone number or credit card.
Boolean Text Frames
This change allows you to label a text frame by a boolean value and if that value is “false” the box will be removed.
It is in essence the text equivalent to “Boolean Images”
Let’s say you have a boolean attribute called “Best Seller”. This is an indicator of a product that is worthy of extra information on the page. You could have a text frame containing the extra attributes you wanted to display for these “Best Sellers”. Therefore the same page design will look completely different depending on if the Best Seller attribute is ticked, as a whole box of information will (or won’t) be displayed.
This works with anchored or unanchored text frames, which means if you use an anchored box and the box is removed, your other information will move to fill the space. Which neatly brings us too…
Anchored Text Frames
This is almost an oversight. Until now, you couldn’t label an anchored text frame and have it populate.
Now you can label an anchored text frame with an attribute and the system will put the attribute value in there. Combined with auto-sizing this will allow for some cool automation.
